Last Friday I had a great pleasure photographing Matt and Katy’s wedding at the Henry Ford’s.
I first met with Katy at the Ritz Carlton in Dearborn, MI where she was getting ready. Then quick ride to the Henry Ford as Katy and Matt rented a Ford T to drive around Greenfield Village before the ceremony. I loved the idea! Of course we stopped at a few locations to get some shots of the bride and groom. The ride lasted about one hour and then there was not much time to spare before the ceremony so we had to move quickly.
Henry Ford is one of my favorite locations to photograph weddings as it offers pretty lighting and countless interesting spots to use as a backdrop. Katy and Matt were such a good sports letting me photograph them in editorial style which I lately enjoy a lot in addition to my regular documentary style.
Congratulations again and enjoy the honeymoon!!!
Also, huge thanks to Duane Orris for helping me again. Dude, you rock!!! I really enjoy working with you.
Here are some of my favorites.
I absolutely adore this image. Possibly my favorite shot of the day.
I enjoy the lighting in this image
I wanted to spotlight the bride in this image, but also give a hint of the groom in the frame. Video light hits Katy from the side silhouetting Matt.
