Shannon and Marco’s Wedding - War Memorial, Grosse Pointe

When I got boxed invitation to Marco and Shannon’s wedding I realized how much time brides put into planning their big day. I’m posting couple shots but you’d have to see the box and unwrap the package to appreciate :)

No matter how much time you spend planning you can never do anything about the weather. I was always drawn to shoot the wedding in the rain and little rain is good - nobody minds sneaking outside for a few shots. It was pouring hard that Saturday and few people want to get soaked when dressed up however ;)

Wedding ceremony took place in Sainte Anne de Detroit and reception followed at The Grosse Pointe War Memorial. War Memorial is a beautiful location and I was a little bummed we couldn’t shoot due to a weather.

Huge thanks to Duane Orris for helping with equipment and getting some really outstanding shots (I’m jealous of some he got with guys outside) :)

Lisa and Andy - Gem Theatre, Detroit

Lisa and Andy had a fabulous wedding at the Gem Theatre in downtown Detroit. Andy and Lisa are very laid back couple and we really enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere for their wedding.

We wanted to get some night shots taking advantage of the city lights, but Tigers played against Kansas City that night and there were thousands of people on the streets slowing us down a little. Nevertheless, we got some really cool shots so it was worth it.

As always I’m behind blogging so to the pictures, as I want to blog at least one more wedding tonight :)

Nicki and Tim - Pine Knob wedding

Tim and Nicki have long history together, going back to middle school. Nicki had crash on Tim in 7th grade, but kept it secret. First initial of their last names is “W’  and their yearbook pictures were next to each other from 7th-12th grade. I’ve seen it and they looked so cute :)

They started dating 10 years ago, and officially became a couple in 2005.

They planned beautiful reception at the Pine Knob in Clarkston, MI and the ceremony took place at the Bridgewood Church.

After shooting their engagement session I was super excited about their wedding and couldn’t wait to photograph it. It’s hard to believe it’s been a month since their big day. In fact, they just got back from their honeymoon in Italy. I wanna see some pictures from the trip ;)

Today, more pictures then usual. I’m trying to make up a little for being so far behind with blogging ;)

Julie and Mike - Royal Park Hotel, Rochester, MI

When Julie and Mike came for the first consultation it turned out we were neighbors, living across each other, yet we’ve never met before! :) Julie found me through the online search. It’s amazing how Internet changed the way we do business nowadays.

Anyway, back to their marvelous wedding. The wedding was absolutely gorgeous and one can only imagine how much planning and work went into putting everything together.

Ceremony and reception was held at elegant Royal Park Hotel in Rochester, Michigan, which is just wonderful to photograph.

Mike and Julie decided to see each other before the ceremony and that was really cool, because we could cover B&G and family shots then, so the couple could enjoy the cocktail hour with their guests.

Some of my blog readers asked me what’s taking so long updating my blog, and as you can see I’m way behind and have a lot of catching up to do. I’m trying… ;)

Kristin & Rick’s wedding - Glen Oaks, Farmington

We had a pleasure to photograph a wedding of a super cool and sexy couple last weekend!

Kristin is Greek, Rick is British. They used to live in Fiji, and now they are moving to Caribbean. FIJI and CARIBBEAN! Tell me you wouldn’t like to have their life, at least for a while ;)

They already got married in Fiji, and this was their ‘official wedding’. Here are some of my favorites:

Amanda and CJ - Wedding at the Oakhurst Golf and Country Club

What an amazing couple I had a pleasure to photograph yesterday!

I couldn’t wait for Amanda and CJ wedding ever since I photographed their engagement session last year.

We arrived at Amanda’s parents house to start the day photographing the bride, her family, and bridesmaids getting ready. When it was time for Amanda to attach her veil I could tell she started getting a little anxious. The idea that she’ll be a wife soon finally started to sink in :)

It’s a great privilege for a photographer, who is a total stranger no less, to be let into the family’s house to document all the tender moments that are happening while the family is preparing for the big day. Big thanks to David and Cel Yarber for having us and making us feel welcome in their fantastic house :)

After the beautiful ceremony the wedding party took off to have a couple drinks at the Union in downtown Clarkston.

Reception got a little emotional during speeches. At one point I had a tear in my eye when Amanda’s dad was speaking.

Overall, absolutely gorgeous wedding with perfect ingredients - tears of joy, laughter, amazing details, and great people.

Lisa and Tim’s Wedding - Oakhurst Country Club, Clarkston, MI

This was my first wedding at the Oakhurst Golf and Country Club in Clarkston, Michigan. Coincidentally I’m photographing Amanda and CJ’s wedding there next Saturday.

Thanks to its enormous windows Oakhurst lets beautiful natural light into the banquet room, which is a huge plus for photography.

Finally, let’s get to some shots.
